PRESIDENT ZALDWAYNAKA SCOTT
Appointed President of Chicago State in 2018, President "Z" Scott is in the process of cutting the Chicago State baseball program after being at the school for less than two years. Scott received $33.7 million in capitol funding just years ago. One of her first actions with this donation? Giving herself a $100,000 raise, according to the CSU Student Voice. Why should this insult members and supporters of CSU baseball? Because it only costs about $120,000 to fund CSU baseball for a year, according to the Equity in Athletics Data Analysis. For a woman that essentially paid herself the cost of the baseball team without first establishing herself at Chicago State, she seems very unconcerned with the baseball program.
ANDREA ZOPP - BOARD CHAIR
Andrea Zopp was the organizer of the GoToMeeting Board Meeting on May 18th, and she also serves as the head of the Board of Trustees as a Chair. Zopp was one of a handful of board members that dis-acknowledged the passionate speeches by CSU baseball and supporters. As the head of the Board, Zopp is responsible for majority of the decision that will be made come June 22nd.
LESLIE ROUNDTREE - INTERIM PROVOST
Leslie Roundtree was appointed interim provost by President Z. Scott shortly after Scott's arrival. As an INTERIM, Roundtree has also been receiving plentiful raises during her short tenure at the school. According to the CSU Student Voice, she received a raise of $77,000 two years in a row. Her raises are examples of money being handed out recklessly in this past. Now that we are in a budget squeeze with the possibility of baseball being cut, these past decisions become more questionable.
